The state of Caribbean physio marketing — 2026

What's working (WhatsApp intake, geo-tight Meta ads, Google Business Profile) and what's quietly stopped working (boosted posts, blanket SEO) for physiotherapy clinics across Trinidad, Barbados, and the Bahamas in 2026.

Baseline

Where the region actually is.

Most Caribbean physiotherapy clinics still run patient acquisition through referrals and Instagram posts. The clinics pulling ahead in 2026 have three things in common: a Google Business Profile treated as a product, a WhatsApp intake that answers new leads inside minutes, and Meta ads scoped tightly to a single service area.

Working

What's compounding.

WhatsApp as first-touch. Every clinic we work with routes ads and forms into WhatsApp, then follows up with a booking link. Response time under five minutes doubles booking rate against the regional average.

Geo-tight Meta ads. A 5–8 km radius per campaign around the clinic, split by service line. Broad regional targeting burns budget on people who'll never travel.

Google Business Profile. Weekly photo posts, treated-conditions list kept current, and a steady drip of reviews. The map pack still delivers the highest-intent traffic in every Caribbean city we've measured.

Condition explainers. One page per condition the clinic actually treats. These are what AI answer engines and Google both quote — see ours.

Not working

What's quietly stopped paying.

Boosted Instagram posts. Cheap impressions, negligible bookings. If it's not going into Ads Manager with a booking-conversion objective, it's brand fluff.

Blanket SEO retainers. Backlink packages and generic content briefs aimed at the whole English-speaking web don't move a local clinic. Local relevance signals — GBP, citations, geo-scoped condition pages — do.

Referral dependence. One quiet month from a referring doctor and the schedule has holes. Referrals should top up a pipeline you already own, not be the pipeline.

Emerging

AI visibility is now a real channel.

Patients ask ChatGPT and Perplexity for “best physio in [city]” and act on the answer. Getting cited means clean HTML, MedicalClinic schema, an llms.txt at the root, and consistent NAP data across your site, GBP, and health-council listing. See our AEO and GEO guides for the playbook.

Next twelve months

Where we're pointing clinics.

Own your data (CRM, WhatsApp history, review inbox). Publish condition and FAQ pages that answer real patient questions. Run four small Meta campaigns instead of one big one. And treat AI visibility as a distribution channel, not a curiosity.
